Dr Derrick Brown is a specialist anaesthetist working full-time in southeast Queensland.
Dr Brown graduated with a medical degree from University of Queensland in 1996. Dr Brown completed 3 years on a QHealth rural scholarship from 1997-99 after which started Anaesthetic training.
Dr Brown completed his Anaesthetic fellowship in 2005 and Pain Medicine fellowship the following year in 2006.
Dr Brown worked full time at RBWH between Anaesthetics and Pain Medicine until 2008. Dr Brown retains a VMO position at the RBWH and has been working privately since 2007 with Axxon Health.
Dr Brown retains a strong interest in Pain Medicine but does not currently consult in this field. His areas of special interest within anaesthesia include Neurosurgery, Spine surgery and Plastic surgery.
