Dr Owain Evans holds specialist qualifications in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine. Dr Evans completed his undergraduate training at the University of Cardiff in Wales before undertaking specialist training across East Anglia. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and the College of Intensive Care Medicine.
He emigrated to Australia in 2011, working in both public and private sectors across Queensland. Dr Evans has undertaken numerous leadership roles within Queensland Health including as Director of Anaesthetics and more recently as Clinical Servicer Director for Surgical Services at the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
Dr Evans’ sub specialty interests include bariatrics, ENT surgery, paediatric anaesthesia, plastics and reconstructive surgery and orthopaedics.
He enjoys travelling and spending time with his two dogs.
